Latinos Unite to Help Those Affected in the Mountains

With the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene hitting the mountains of Western Carolina, the solidarity of the Latino community has stood out. This Sunday, the organization EMBRACE ALL LATINO VOICES will be collecting essential donations to assist the hardest-hit areas. Donations can be dropped off from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Sunday and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday.

The goal of the campaign is to collect basic necessity items such as bottled water, diapers, batteries, canned food, and personal hygiene products, which will be directly sent to the families affected by the natural disaster.

"We believe that, together, we can make a big difference for the communities that have lost so much," said Patrick Garcia, Executive Director of EMBRACE ALL LATINO VOICES. "We know that our brothers and sisters in the mountains are going through extremely difficult times, and our mission is to extend a hand in solidarity."

Those who are unable to contribute physical donations can choose to make a direct donation through the organization’s website. We inform you that 100% of the monetary donations will be used to purchase water, as many communities currently do not have access to potable water during this critical time.
